Spermidine is a polyamine, specifically a triamine that has been shown to be involved with floral initiation from vegetative buds in Tobacco (Kaur-Sawhney et al. 1988).
Since this product can exist as a liquid or semi-solid at room temperature it is typically melted in a warm water bath (or by holding the bottle in your hand) and then weighed as a liquid.
