Yeast extract is produced through aqueous extraction of autolysed brewer´s yeast. High content of vitamins. Ideal, therefore, in many standard nutrient media. (e. g. LB-Medium, TB-Medium, YT-Medium etc.). It is highly hygroscopic and should be stored at a dry place.
