Hexadimethrine bromide, Polybrene is a quaternary ammonium compound which works as a heparin antagonist. It is also involved in the transformation of low molecular weight DNA.
Applications
· Hexadimethrine bromide, Polybrene can be used to transfect mammalian cells with DNA. It can be used to increase the efficiency of lipofection transfections.
· Hexadimethrine bromide, Polybrene has been used for lentivirus infection in cells. It has been used for infection of cells with retroviral supernatant.
Notes: This product is very prone to deliquescence.
