Suitable for isolation of high quality RNA with Trizol (3-zol).
Description
The Chloroform Replacement Separation Reagent replaces chloroform in the single-step method of RNA isolation, or the simultaneous isolation of RNA, DNA and proteins with Trizol. Substituting Chloroform Replacement Separation Reagent for chloroform does not affect the quality of isolated RNA, DNA or proteins. The use of Chloroform Replacement Separation Reagent as a phase separation reagent decreases the possibility of DNA contamination of RNA.
Application
Chloroform Replacement Separation Reagent is used with Trizol. Following sample homogenization, supplement the homogenate with 0.1 ml of Chloroform Replacement Separation Reagent per 1 ml of Trizol used for homogenization. This volume of Chloroform Replacement Separation Reagent replaces 0.2 ml of chloroform used in the Trizol procedure. Vigorously mix the homogenate with Chloroform Replacement Separation Reagent and proceed with centrifugation and other steps of the Trizol protocol.
