Sodium hydroxide (NaOH) is a caustic reagent that is widely used to neutralize acids and prepare sodium salts of reagents. Has also been used with Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate to make and SDS/NaOH solution for the decontamination of mycobacteria. 

 

Store at Room Temperature.
Stock solutions should be stored in "plastic containers" exclusively. Avoid the use of glass containers with sodium hydroxide solutions!
Warning : Corrosive! CAUSTIC alkali.
